Den Umbausatz für den Vindicator und den Whirlwind Panzer der Space Marines, mit dem man sich das neue Rhino zu einem Unterstüzungspanzer umbauen kann, wird wahrscheinlich überhaupt nicht von Games Workshop hergestellt werden. Das Geschäft soll sich nicht lohnen, da jeder Spieler ja höchstens einen oder zwei dieser Panzer benötigt.
Viel mehr soll Forgeworld diese Umbaukits anbieten, und das auch noch nur in Resin. Wer also ein paar günstige Panzer für seine Space Marines haben will, sollte jetzt zuschlagen.

Jaja, der Whirlwind und der Vindicator. Hey, wofür gibt es das Wort "UMBAUEN"?? Da bastelt man sich halt selbst die Geschütze!!! Hab ich mit meinem Whirlwind auch gemacht. Alte Rhino, Raketenwerfer und fertig war das Ding! Is doch ganz einfach. Da mach ich mir nichts draus. Das Zeug wird einfach selbst gemacht!!

Ich bin 30 und habe ein regelmäßiges Einkommen, einen guten Job und spiele trotzdem 40k und das schon seit vielen Jahren. :)

hihi@enthusiastische gw-leutz :o) dat stimmt! aba als einer neulich extra nen eigenen umbau aus dem archiv suchen wollte, nur um mir ne kleinigkeit zu demonstrieren, war ich wieder mal begeistert über mein tolles hobby und die gw-orkz ! übi: auch im gw-archiv herrscht das CHAOS!

Ja, die GW- Mitarbeiter sind ein wenig "enthusiastisch" (wird das so geschrieben???)...aber sonst, ich hab in Köln noch nie Kinder gesehen....

Ich komme mit meinen paar Brocken Englisch leider nicht besonders weit. Irgendwie entnehme ich daraus, dass GW und FW beide an diesen Varianten arbeiten (verbessert mich wenn ich mich irre) und, dass die von FW nur früher erscheinen sollen. Ich glaube man sollte da erstmal abwarten was im WD dazu steht wenn der Rhino kommt.

"Tim Adcock is working on the Whirlwind sprue RIGHT NOW (well, maybe not this very minute, but you know what I mean). So don't expect it for another 12 months.
Plastic Vindicator is planned, though work hasn't started yet.
Forgeworld will have a resin Vindi out, probably shortly after the Rhino is released, but it will be a stop gap until the plastic, it's not a major piece of work, so it's a easy way to make a fast buck for them, and have a Vindicator variant for the new kit available straight away. The has been done (I assume, as he did the sketches I saw) by Will Hayes, the guy who does the Eldar stuff.
I haven't seen anything of a Whirlwind, but from a comment from Ewen, I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same with this too - I mean they could even use the Helios launcher withvery little effort.
This new Rhino has been designed with multiple uses in mind. The front panel is a seperate piece, so a Vindi for example could just replace this one panel, perhaps with additional detail to cover the top rear hatch.
Likewise the Whirlwind could use the alternate mounting plate that comes in the kit (which is for use with the Razorback and Pred for mounting the turrets) and add a turret and extra detail on the hatches (Tim mentioned a radar dish for example).
Look at how many variants of these vehicles have appeared over the life of the kit, from conversions in WD through to heavyweight metal add ons. If this kit is around for the same length of time, and they do the variants in plastic (they only have to do one additional sprue to make a totally new kit) - they have a 9-10 years to recoup the costs. Considering how many will sell, even if not to die hards who refuse to buy the new model, they will easily make back the cash, so it's a bit of a no brainer really"

Es stimmt übrigends nicht, man kann sich also wieder abregen. Es wird sowohl von GW als auch von FW je ein Vindicator- und ein Whirlwindmodell geben. Man kann sich also frei entscheiden, welches Modell man möchte. Leider sehen die FW-Modelle meist besser aus :)

Nich so schnell, wir stürmen das GW HQ, bzw die Produktionshalle und machen Miniaturen zum selbstkostenpreis... also das Kilo Loyale Marines für 5€

Ich würde sagen GW geht "back to basics", früher musste man auch jeden Scheiss selber bauen/umbauen...also warum geht das heute nicht?

Nur gut das ich ne imperiale Panzerkompanie spiele. Aber was ist wenn GW bei den eventuellen neuen Imperialen Panzern die gleiche show abzieht? Die Dinger sind schließlich auch schon uralt! Oh kacke, ich mir muss schleunigst mehr Leman Russ Kampfpanzer besorgen.....

Hm die alten umbausätze wirds dann wohl net merh geben dann müssen wir uns unseren kram wohl oder über aus anderne teilen zusammensetzen, auch kein prob dann nimmt man einfach einige alte radar-suchraketen wie im codex der dark angels abgebildet udn bauen uns auffem neuen chassis n whirwind, auch wenn das wohl im endefekt teuerer is aber emien wenigkeit setzt grundsätzlich kaum fahrzeuge ein da jeder neunmalkluge depp die dinger als das lieblingteil halten, deswegen bomb ich die teile schliesslich auch so gerne weg, sonst baller ich auf alles was gut aussieht und wenn das net geht...naja halt auf das was grad in reichweite is =).
bei meien spass marines setz ich wohl auch nur cybots, landspeeder un rhinos ein. wenn ih tau anfang wohl auch net grade viel panzer, eher xv's.

Dann kauf ich mir besser vorher noch den aktuellen Vindicator, bei Forgeworld kauf ich mir grundsätzlich nichts, ist mir viel zu teuer!
